Dmytro Omelchak is an international outstanding Ukrainian guitar player, born in a small town of
Shchastya in the east of Ukraine, where he got his first guitar lesson at the age of eight.
In the course of getting his education in Ukraine at Luhansk Music College and at
I.P. Kotlyarevsky Kharkiv National University of Arts, he could improve his play under
the influence of such teachers like Mykhail Tushchenko and Yurii Fomin.
Being a DAAD scholarship holder (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst –
German Academic Exchange Service), he continued his studies in Germany at Münster
Music School with Prof. Reinbert Evers. Since 2015, Dmytro has been completing
his course of learning with Prof. Tomasz Zawierucha at the Folkwang University
of the Arts.
During his studies, Mr. Omelchak had the privilege to attend master classes of great
performers of our time, such as: Jens Wagner, Olaf van Gonnissen, Hubert Käppel,
Thomas Müller-Pering (Germany), Roman Viazovskyi (Ukraine-Germany), Zoran
Dukic, Dejan Ivanovic (Croatia), Pedro Mateo Gonzales, Marco Socias (Spain),
Lorenzo Mikeli (Italy), Allan Neave (Scotland), Judicael Perroy (France), Roberto
