Dominika Białostocka was born on the 4th of October, 1979. She started to study the guitar at the age of 11; graduated from the Academy of Music in Wrocław (Poland) in 2003. She also improved her playing during masterclasses with the greatest individualities from around the world, such as Costas Cotsiolis, Carlo Marchione, József Eötvös, Thomas Müller-Pering, Grigorij Zyslin, Jorge Cardoso. With the last of these she recorded her first CD (Suite de los Mita-i) when she was only 16 years old.
Dominika was a prize winner of many guitar competitions in Poland and abroad.
She gave concerts in many cities of Poland and Europe.
As a student, she was awarded grants by the National Fund for Children and the Minister of Culture and Art.
Dominika is the author of many transcriptions and guitar works for beginners.
Since 1999 she works as a guitar teacher. Her students become the prize winners of guitar competitions in Poland.
Dominika cooperates with the musicians and several bands playing different styles of music (from classics, folk, reggae and blues to popular music).
